Urban League will provide returning citizens with comprehensive case management, referrals to technical skills training, career & workforce fundamentals training (job readiness), and other wrap-around services to facilitate their successful transition into the workforce in high-demand industries.

The Urban League of Louisiana Clarence L. Barney Head Start (ULCLBHS) provides services to low-income children ranging in age from birth to five years old, including children who have verified disabilities. With kindergarten readiness as our focus, we utilize developmentally appropriate tools to stimulate sensory learning, cognitive, motor, social and emotional skills. With a strong history of success, our children consistently achieve developmental milestones.

The Urban League Parent Information Center’s mission is to empower parents to be successful agents and advocates for excellent schools. Through our parent engagement and initiatives, ULPIC responds to the distinct needs of families and community with the ultimate goal of increasing student achievement, excellent schools and an informed community with an active parent base.

The Project Ready Program provides students with a cadre of academic, life skills and career readiness supports to prepare them for high school graduation and post-secondary success. Central to Project Ready is its selective dual enrollment program, which ensures that students are equipped with the skills necessary to compete for in-demand jobs with career ladders that pay not just a living, but a saving wage.

The ULEAD Leadership Academy is a leading training academy for advocates interested in learning how to effectively navigate and positively impact the educational landscape for communities of color in New Orleans.

The Women’s Business Resource Center (WBRC) was established in 2001 to support minority and women-owned businesses as a pathway to secure economic parity for African Americans and other underserved populations. The WBRC provides small-business development services including business education workshops and interactive trainings, hands-on technical assistance, and access to resources relevant to aspiring and existing entrepreneurs throughout southeastern Louisiana. Services include: comprehensive business planning and support, loan packaging, business certifications, and assistance with operational streamlining, business financials and accounting.

Revitalizes today's workforce so that businesses across the state can thrive and grow. Connects jobs seekers with resources to attain sustainable careers with a living wage. Assists by collaborating with businesses for the recruitment and development of their labor force.

Wake Up Geaux Vote Louisiana was a voter participation initiative held on November 3, 2018. It was designed to promote the importance of voter engagement and mobilization through election day.

The Urban League of Louisiana in partnership with Hancock Whitney Bank and Housing Services of New Orleans are working to assist families in achieving their dreams of homeownership.
