Capital Area United Way is also focused on VOLUNTEERISM -- mobilizing people and resources to deliver creative solutions to community needs. We offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities: short-term projects for individuals, families and company groups; youth-focused, youth-led projects; service learning; projects for seniors 55 and older. Professional development is also provided for volunteer managers throughout the region. Volunteers are recognized in many ways including a monthly television tribute with a local media partner culminating in an annual celebration
