The community outreach and education program seeks to educate and inform the iris service area (8 parishes) to raise awareness of domestic abuse and family violence, expand coordination with other service organizations and faith-based groups, develop an active social media presence, call attention to the issue of domestic abuse, family violence, dating violence, stalking, and to help coordinate and improve the community services response to the dangers of domestic abuse and family violence.

Activities include 24 hour hotline, counseling advocacy, temporary emergency shelter, education, and training. - Part 3: to end domestic violence in the capital area through serving victims of domestic violence, educating the public about domestic violence, and working to eliminate economic, social, and cultural conditions and attitudes that contribute to domestic violence.
